Last year, its TMG EV P002 electric race car finished the 12.42-mile uphill course in 10 minutes, 15:38 seconds, and Toyota hopes to better that time with an improved model.
The TMG EV P002 has a predicted top speed of 149 mph, with 350 kW of power from its two EVO axial flux motors.
The field for the Electric Class of the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which takes place July 3-8, gets wilder every day.
