Volteum, provider of a fleet management platform for electric and mixed vehicle fleets, has concluded a €2.5-million funding round led by Movens Capital. The round follows a €1.25 million pre-seed investment and brings total funding to €3.75 million. Funds will be used to support expansion throughout the UK and Central European markets.
Fleet operators are in a period of transition, Volteum explains—managers run mixed diesel, petrol and electric fleets, and legacy fleet management software is often not equipped to handle such issues as charging schedules, battery health, reimbursement workflows from home charging and proactive maintenance data. Operators may rely on disconnected systems and legacy telematics tools designed for diesel-only fleets.

Volteum combines fleet data, including charging, mileage and maintenance, on a single platform without requiring additional hardware. Because the system connects directly to data already collected by vehicle manufacturers, newly integrated fleets can go live within 48 hours of signing up without vehicle downtime, the company says. The platform also uses aggregated fleet data to optimize day-to-day operations, automate fleet reporting and flag unusual vehicle or charging behavior.
Volteum’s existing customers include Royal Mail, Bolt, Lex Autolease, Schneider Electric, OTP Bank, NG Bailey and Dundee City Council. The European expansion supported by the new funding will be focused on fleet managers in logistics, utilities and car leasing and rental companies.
“We built Volteum to work for fleet managers regardless of where they are in the transition from diesel to electric,” said Zsófia Tóth, co-founder and CEO of Volteum. “Our goal isn’t to push managers into electrifying their entire fleet but rather to give them the knowledge and tools to make cost-effective decisions.”
“Managing a mixed fleet creates operational complexity very quickly, especially as more electric vehicles are introduced,” said Matt Dale, Managing Director at customer TZC. “Volteum gives a clearer view across vehicles, charging and maintenance in a single platform while reducing manual processes for our clients and team.”
