Automotive supplier Valeo is introducing a range of new EV charging products. At the Drive to Zero trade show in Paris, the company presented a new AC charging station called Ineez, which integrates bidirectional charging and the ISO 15118-20 communication protocol.
The ISO 15118-20 protocol acts as a secure universal interface between the vehicle and the charging station, enabling V2G and other advanced features.
The technological core of Valeo’s V2G charging stations is built upon a software and hardware platform originally developed by IoTecha and now owned by Valeo. Valeo’s cloud-based IoT.ON platform is designed to ensure seamless interoperability between the vehicle, the charger and the grid.
Valeo’s Ineez charging station enables the car and the grid to communicate in real time, sharing energy data to optimize charging costs and safely manage bidirectional energy flows. Valeo’s embedded software allows a flexible implementation of grid codes for each country.
“At Valeo, we are combining our industrial excellence and software protocols to make advanced energy flexibility both accessible and future-proof for our customers,” said Isabelle D’Ambrosio, VP of Smart Mobility at Valeo. “Our latest Ineez AC charging station offers vehicle-to-grid technology as well as the latest communication protocol that secures a safe interface between the vehicle and the charging station.”
