Chinese automaker BAIC FOTON’s eView Connect electric van debuts in Thailand

CP FOTON recently held a launch event in Bangkok, Thailand, to introduce its new eView Connect electric van.

The eView Connect is equipped with CATL’s third-generation liquid-cooled battery, which features a 2C charging rate. The eView Connect is available with two battery capacity options—50 kWh and 67 kWh—and supports both AC charging and DC fast charging. The battery carries a warranty of eight years or 400,000 kilometers.

At the launch event, CP FOTON delivered its first batch of vehicles to five local companies in the logistics, retail and leasing sectors. The company also signed memorandums of understanding for strategic cooperation with Spark EV, a charging network operator in Thailand, and technology partner Huawei.

CP FOTON has established local production in Thailand. Parent company BAIC FOTON plans to use Thailand as a regional hub to expand across the Asia-Pacific region.
