The dSPACE Power HIL Testing solution provides a full‑power hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) environment designed to test inverters and electric drive components using real voltages and currents while emulating motors, batteries, photovoltaic sources, or grids. It bridges the gap between traditional HIL setups and dynamometer testing by offering a flexible, modular, and high‑power platform.

These systems allow engineers to validate power electronics early in development—even when real hardware is not yet available—using current‑based emulation and configurable digital‑twin motor models. They support a wide range of applications, from low‑voltage actuators to full‑power propulsion systems for vehicles, ships, aircraft, and wind turbines.

Join this session to learn how the modular power cabinets enable easy scaling of power levels while maintaining simpler installation and reduced risk due to the absence of mechanical components. Additional tools such as Simulink‑based CPU/FPGA models, allow seamless integration of motor, encoder, battery, and grid simulations, enabling rapid configuration and reduced setup time.
