This session explores the engineering realities behind in-vehicle data cables as vehicles evolve into high-speed, connected platforms. While specifications define minimum requirements, real-world applications—particularly in commercial, EV, and ADAS-enabled vehicles—demand performance well beyond the datasheet.

The presentation examines the technical differences between CAN Bus and Automotive Ethernet and explains how temperature (up to 125°C), extended cable lengths (up to 40 meters), and harsh EMI environments directly impact signal integrity. It addresses the distinct engineering challenges of commercial vehicles compared to passenger cars, and the role advanced insulation systems play in ensuring long-term reliability.

Through technical insights and case studies, this webinar highlights why 40-meter validation at elevated temperatures is exponentially more demanding and how Ethernet cables support ADAS, OTA updates, autonomous systems, and fleet data management.

The objective is to provide engineers and industry professionals with a clear understanding of the design decisions that determine whether a cable performs for three years or thirty.
