Omni introduces parallel-shaft EV gearboxes

Omni Powertrain has introduced a new series of parallel-shaft gearboxes that address cost, performance and packaging needs for off-highway applications, including turf equipment, mobile elevating work platforms, material handling and general construction equipment.

The new gearboxes provide continuous torque output from 200 Nm to 3,000 Nm and reduction ratios from 15:1 to 60:1. Helical ground gears are included in the drives. These gearboxes can be combined with Omni’s axial flux motors to build a complete drive system with a compact package form. Air- or WEG-cooled motors can be supplied with an IP67 rating and a continuous power output of 2.5 to 44 kW. Motor and gearbox combinations can be tailored to meet OEM needs.
