GreenPower and its California dealership have over 40 electric school buses in the pipeline

Heavy-duty EV manufacturer GreenPower Motor is doing a brisk business in electric school buses in California, thanks in part to the state’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project. GreenPower’s exclusive dealer, Creative Bus Sales, has more than 40 GreenPower Type D BEAST and Type A Nano BEAST school buses in the HVIP voucher funding pipeline.

GreenPower has recently delivered BEAST school buses to Escalon Unified School District and Hayward Unified School District, and will soon make deliveries to Grossmont Unified School District and Anaheim Elementary School District. Several more districts are expected to make orders soon.

“As GreenPower’s exclusive school bus dealer in California, Creative Bus Sales has put considerable time and effort into securing these orders,” said GreenPower VP Michael Perez,’s VP for School Buses. “GreenPower has available inventory that covers nearly all of these orders, allowing for timely payment and rapid deployment. We can immediately pull BEASTs from our existing inventory, which are compliant with the California school bus specifications.”

GreenPower’s Type D BEAST is a 40-foot school bus seating up to 90 passengers. It supports Level 2 charging at rates up to 19.2 kW and DC fast charging at up to 61 kW. Wireless charging is also available as an option.

The Type A Nano BEAST can be configured for up to 18 passengers with one wheelchair position, or 14 passengers with two wheelchair positions. It features the BraunAbility wheelchair lift and the Q’Straint wheelchair securement system.
