The Tomahawk luxury electric sports car from Dubuc Motors

Dubuc Motors

Dubuc Motors, makers of an electric sports car called the Tomahawk, has launched a round of crowdfunding to finance the new model’s development and production.

Dubuc says the Tomahawk will offer a 370-mile range and do 0-60 mph in 3 seconds. It’s designed to accommodate the big and tall, seating drivers up to 6’ 5” comfortably. Rear seats and trunk space make the Tomahawk “an everyday luxury sports car.”

Dubuc has spent 13 years in R&D, and expects to deliver the Tomahawk in 2018. Planned production is up to 1,500 units per year. Reservations are now available with a $5,000 deposit on the company’s web site.

“People have embraced the idea that the Tomahawk, although an exotic sports car, can be as practical as a sedan,” said Mike Kakogiannakis, co-founder of Dubuc Motors. “We have been pleased with the response from the crowd. It’s exciting to see a community of game changers and trend setters jump on board as shareholders of our company early on.”
