Payment platform provider Nayax has begun rolling out a new all-in-one AC charging solution for commercial sites looking to offer and manage paid EV charging.
The new EV Meter solution combines Nayax payment technology, charger hardware and a cloud-based charge point management system into a single platform, reducing the need to coordinate separate providers.
Built for commercial destinations such as hotels, campsites, holiday parks and parking facilities, EV Meter is designed for locations where drivers typically leave their vehicles for several hours. The range includes single-socket and dual-socket 22 kW AC chargers.
Drivers can view tariff information, start a charging session and track it through a QR code. The mobile interface allows drivers to monitor charging progress, energy usage and cost while away from the vehicle, and digital receipts are available by email.
For operators, Nayax’s charge point management system supports remote monitoring and management of charging infrastructure.
EV Meter is already live at several sites in the UK, including Arle Court Park and Ride in Gloucester, where Nayax EV charging technology supports a destination charging deployment operated by Connected Kerb.
“Payments are central to making EV charging work commercially, but they are only one part of what site owners need,” said Andy Knight, Energy Sales Director at Nayax. “For site owners, our EV Meter offers a straightforward way to add paid charging on-site, with the charger, payment terminal, payment processing and charge point management system working together from the start.
