Remy to provide motors for Quantum Fuel Systems PHEV pickups

Electric motor maker Remy International, Inc. (OTC-PINK: RMYI) announced Tuesday that it has agreed to supply its HVH250 motors to Quantum Fuel Systems, which will use them in its Ford F-150 PHEV conversions.

Quantum recently announced plans to upgrade Ford’s popular pickup to a parallel hybrid system with an electric range of 35 miles and a total range of 400 miles. The F-150 PHEV will come standard with 4WD, and a payload of up to 900 lbs. and a towing capacity of 5,800 lbs.
