EVBox invests in its US production facility and workforce

Dutch EV equipment supplier EVBox has announced a new investment in its North American production facility in Libertyville, Illinois, which will assemble EVBox’s new, 4th-generation commercial DC fast charging station, the EVBox Troniq Modular.

The latest round of investment will create 45 jobs, and the employee count is expected to double before the year’s end.

“The increase of EVs on US roads will require charging infrastructure that does not exist today,” said James Fox, Senior VP of EVBox North America. “Installing charging stations is only half the challenge; producing and maintaining reliable charging hardware is the other half of the equation, and EVBox will leverage over a decade of expertise to bring this ambition of electrification to life.”
