Elevat and Microsoft partner to provide Internet of Things data to off-highway EV industry

Elevat, a tech company that specializes in crafting Internet of Things roadmaps for manufacturers of off-highway equipment, has formed a partnership with Microsoft to drive “digital transformation and offer enhanced connectivity and insights for businesses” in the off-highway industry.

The collaboration will bring together Elevat’s Machine Connect and Microsoft’s Azure IoT Edge.

“In today’s off-highway market, the demand for reliable IoT data is undeniable,” Elevat said. “While many companies can digitally connect your machines, few offer end-to-end business IoT solutions that unlock the full potential of IoT technology.”

Elevat’s IoT platform, Machine Connect, facilitates seamless connections among devices, sensors and machines, allowing for efficient data collection, analysis and control. The platform is widely used in industries such as construction, agriculture, forestry, mining and utilities, as well as in work trucks and recreational vehicles, due to its scalability, security and flexibility.

As more companies invest in battery-electric off-highway vehicles, having greater access to IoT data will allow managers to make more intelligent decisions regarding future EV deployments and build better business cases for trials of electric vehicles.

“Microsoft and Elevat share a vision of transforming industries through innovative IoT solutions,” said Adam Livesay, a co-founder of Elevat. “This collaboration will enable industrial OEMs to fully leverage their data, opening new growth opportunities. This marks a key milestone in our journey towards a more connected and intelligent world.”

When integrated with Microsoft Azure Edge, the software giant’s cloud computing product, Machine Connect will enable advanced analytics, machine learning and robust security features for users.

The two companies said that the partnership will focus on enhanced connectivity to ensure “a seamless flow of data between edge devices and the cloud,” advanced analytics through on-site data analysis, scalability that will grow with a user’s business and an ease of deployment that will make it easier for companies to implement IoT solutions quickly and cost-effectively.
