Bulgarian charging network deploys ABB fast chargers

Public EV chargers are a common sight in much of Western Europe, and the web is steadily expanding further east. Electromobility provider eMobility International operates a fleet of 110 rental and rideshare EVs in Bulgaria, as well a network of charging stations.

The company has deployed a network of ABB Terra 53 fast charging stations, operating under the brand Eldrive, which covers the international routes from Sofia to the Greek border. It plans to extend the network to include all the country’s major roads and highways by the end of Q1 2018.

ABB’s Terra 53 CJG is compatible with all EVs on the Bulgarian market, using the CHAdeMO, CCS and Type 2 AC standards.

“We chose ABB to build our fast-charging network across Bulgaria because they’re highly reliable and offer remote support, which is crucial for our business,” said eMobility CEO Stefan Spassov.
