BetterFleet receives $15 million to advance adoption of its EV fleet charging management platform

Fleet-management software company BetterFleet, with US headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has completed a Series A funding round of $15 million.

The round was led by venture firms Aligned Climate Capital, Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and Remarkable Ventures Climate (RVC).

The funding will fuel BetterFleet’s expansion across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America, which will focus on transit, government, utilities and logistics customers. The company says its platform enables customers to optimize selection of charging stations, vehicles and interconnection equipment, thereby avoiding significant overbuilding of infrastructure. And by integrating digital depot configurations into live operational systems, asset use can be optimized and issues addressed with minimal downtime.

“As large, complex fleets transition to new technologies, inexperience, fear, and risk aversion often lead to overbuilding,” said BetterFleet CEO Daniel Hilson. “At the same time, electric fleets require far more sophisticated management software to handle the increased complexity of operating these assets. Our goal is to enable more sustainable and productive fleets.”
