The BMW Group will present 5 EVs at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, including one new production vehicle, the BMW i3s.
BMW recently reported that EVs and PHEVs now account for 5.5% of total sales in the US. By 2025, the company plans to offer 25 electrified models, 12 of them pure EVs.

The first i3s features an electric motor with 184 hp of power and 199 lb-ft of peak torque, as well as a BMW-developed battery with a cell capacity of 94 amp hours. The new EV does 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 100 mph.
The i3s will be available in US showrooms in November, 2017. Pricing will be announced closer to market launch.
