Volta Charging, which operates a free EV charging network, has announced a partnership with LOOM Media to bring Volta to nationwide scale.
Funded through sponsored content, the Volta network is provided to hosts as a free turnkey service, and offers charging at high-traffic locations, at no cost to drivers.
LOOM will provide Volta with third-party sales representation as well as consulting services in support of financing, marketing, sponsorship and real estate services.
LOOM will assist Volta to add 1,500 new locations, and to expand from its current shopping center locations to municipal sites in major cities. Volta currently operates in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. The LOOM partnership will enable expansion to Washington DC, New York City, Boston, Seattle and Portland.
“To date, Volta has offset 6.8 million pounds of CO2 and given away more than 15.7 million EV miles,” said Jonathan Schulhof, founder and CEO of LOOM.
“LOOM Media is perfectly positioned to help us in our efforts to transform communities via accessible charging services,” said Scott Mercer, founder and CEO of Volta Charging. “Their strategic brand and location partners will enable us to grow the number of charging stations offering free charging nationally.”
