Presto to provide software platform for bp pulse’s US EV charging network

bp pulse, the EV charging subsidiary of global oil giant bp, will integrate its network of more than 8,000 charging locations in 46 US states with Presto, an EV charging platform for fleets, mobility providers and businesses.

Through the collaboration, EV drivers using the Presto platform will be able to locate bp pulse sites within the Presto app, view real-time charger availability and initiate charging sessions. bp pulse also hopes to increase utilization of its charging network by connecting to Presto’s fleet customer base.

Presto supports high-mileage fleet segments including rideshare, rental cars, last-mile delivery and commercial operators. Its platform enables fleet partners to deploy charging solutions through Presto’s mobile app or software integrations.

bp pulse operates several high-capacity charging hubs near major airports, including LAX and O’Hare. By connecting bp pulse’s network to Presto’s rideshare and fleet partners, the companies aim to increase charger utilization while expanding charging access for EV drivers.

“Reliable fast charging is essential for commercial drivers and fleets who depend on predictable uptime,” said Sujay Sharma, CEO of bp pulse Americas. “By integrating bp pulse’s growing US ultra-fast charging network with Presto’s platform, we’re helping make it easier for EV drivers to find and access charging where and when they need it.”
