Charging network operator EVgo has opened four new locations with a total of 20 new chargers in Newport Beach, California. The project includes a mix of Level 2 and DC fast charging stations.
The City of Newport Beach, which participated in the project, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new stations, which are available for public use at four city facilities. Funding was provided by EVgo and the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
“We are delighted to work with the City of Newport Beach to expand electric vehicle charging options that fit into the lifestyle of our customers,” said EVgo VP Terry O’Day. “EVs are rapidly becoming more popular and we at EVgo are working diligently to expand the infrastructure to support our electrified future.
