Envision Solar receives order for 12 Solar Tree systems

San Diego-based Envision Solar (OTCQB: EVSI) makes two unique solar-powered charging solutions (see the May/June 2016 issue of Charged). Just a few days after announcing a sale of 13 EV ARC self-contained charging units to a California transit agency, the company announced that an Illinois municipality has ordered 12 Solar Tree arrays.

The Solar Tree is a turnkey system that provides solar energy, EV charging and shade. One Solar Tree structure shades six to eight standard car parking spaces and produces enough clean energy each day to deliver up to 700 miles of electric driving. Options include energy storage and the patented EnvisionTrak system, which causes the array to follow the sun, increasing electricity production.

A third-party vendor will assemble the Solar Tree systems for the Illinois customer.

“This latest deployment of our Solar Tree products is a great testament to the quality and innovation we continue to produce,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar.
