Millbrook Revolutionary Engineering has opened a new EV driveline test facility in the San Francisco Bay area. The 25,000-square-foot facility will offer testing of inverters and vehicle-in-loop capabilities, battery simulators and e-machine testing at speeds of 20,000 rpm.
The company has installed four electric drive unit test stands with a combined capacity of 2,880 testing hours per month.
“The opening of our new facility represents a step-change in the local testing and development support available to EV engineers,” said Allen White, President of Millbrook Revolutionary Engineering. “The new facility is truly world-class, with our high-speed input motor testing equipment offering greater capacity and capability than ever before.”
Alex Burns, President of Millbrook, said, “The latest engineering challenges, such as electrification, connectivity and automation, require vehicle manufacturers to innovate at a faster rate than ever before, despite budgets being put under increasing pressure. Millbrook’s expansion into a number of markets allows us to offer consistent independent test services internationally.”
