Italian EV charger manufacturer Alpitronic has opened a new US headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina as it looks to expand across North America.
Alpitronic’s Hyperchargers boast an average efficiency rate above 97.5% and support all EV brands. The company’s repair and service network can service chargers anywhere in the country.
Alpitronic America has tested pre-production units publicly in Rock Hill, South Carolina and Portland, Oregon. It expects to install its first US-built, public-facing production units in October. Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging recently agreed to deploy Hypercharger 400 units at scale in the US.
“While adoption is increasing, one of the main reasons some Americans hesitate to purchase an EV is the lack of a reliable network of chargers across the country,” said Mike Doucleff, Alpitronic Americas CEO. “We are excited to bring Alpitronic’s engineering and design to the American market—delivering reduced charging time, increased reliability, and building confidence among consumers.”
