Renault Foundation launches Electric Vehicles and Electro-mobility diploma

The course will consist of an 11-month internship, alternating a week of classroom learning with two weeks of hands-on experience at a host company of the student’s choice.

The Renault Foundation plans to finance a new training course in partnership with the IUT technology institute in Mantes, west of Paris, that will offer a professional diploma in Electric Vehicles and Electro-mobility. The work-study program will prepare students for middle management positions in fields such as EV design, production and after-sales service; onboard IT systems; and charging infrastructure.

The course will consist of an 11-month internship, alternating a week of classroom learning with two weeks of hands-on experience at a host company of the student’s choice.

“This program enables us to bring our industrial vision to the academic world in strategic areas such as electric vehicles,” says Hélène Mairesse, deputy director of the Renault Foundation. “We hope that this program – a key lever in our social responsibility commitment – will be a great success with young people and that the first class delivers on results!”

The first class of 20 students will start in September. Registration is open through June 16, 2012, at: www.iut-mantes.uvsq.fr.
