NI (formerly National Instruments) has purchased Heinzinger Automotive, the EV systems business unit of Germany-based Heinzinger electronic.
The purchase expands NI’s battery test system capabilities. In 2021, NI acquired test instruments and systems firm NH Research. By combining Heinzinger’s high-voltage power supply systems with NI’s flexible EV test platform, NI says it will provide critical power level test systems that “optimize test performance and enable faster responses to changing test needs, accelerating time to market and lowering the total cost of testing for a broader range of customers.”
NI says the acquisition will provide its customers with the capacity to rapidly scale their operations.
