Magnax builds a new pilot line for axial flux motors

Magnax is expanding its prototyping and testing capabilities at its headquarters in Kortrijk, Belgium. The pilot line expansion will  accelerate the development, manufacturing, and testing of yokeless axial flux motors and power electronics prototypes.

New equipment installation and existing equipment relocation is anticipated to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2021. The company expects to employ 40 people by the end of the year.

“Having our R&D resources and manufacturing capabilities under one roof will accelerate the scale-up of our prototyping and bring the motors towards industrialization faster,” said Magnax Motors CEO Marc Beulque.
