Robots quickly shower, dip and spray on the various high-tech coatings, even opening the doors and hood when necessary.

At the end, a solitary human runs a white glove over the robots’ handiwork to make sure the finish is perfect. Model S is available in 10 different colors.

Tesla has added a page of charging information to its web site, which includes a good bit of detail to help new Model S owners install their chargers and calculate charging times and costs.
