Plug-In 2013 conference & exposition opens registration

Registration is now open for the Plug-In 2013 Conference & Exposition, which will focus on real data, real-world reporting and a serious analysis of what’s next for the electric highway. Returning to its roots in California – the top plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market in the world – the sixth annual international conference, organized by the Electric Power Research Institute, will take place Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 in San Diego. San Diego Gas & Electric (a Sempra Energy utility) will serve as the Plug-In 2013 regional supporter and a Platinum Sponsor.

At a time when PEV sales are accelerating, but questions remain about technology costs, market evolution, consumer education and infrastructure development, Plug-In 2013 will bring together key industry stakeholders – including auto manufacturers, electric utilities, infrastructure providers, component suppliers and government agencies – to discuss, debate and, ultimately, answer these questions and more.

The Plug-In 2013 agenda will feature two pre-conference workshops, one high-level plenary session, two plenary panels and 21 breakout sessions with working experts in three tracks: Cars (vehicle technology and deployment), Charging (infrastructure technology, readiness and choices) and Community (stakeholder involvement in PEV deployment).

In addition, the event will include the always-popular exposition floor, showcasing vehicles, supporting electricity infrastructure and the latest innovations associated with plug-in technology. Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in a scheduled vehicle ride-n-drive.
