Pando Electric partners with Associa to install EV charging at multifamily developments

Pando Electric, a provider of multifamily EV charging solutions, has formed a strategic partnership with homeowners’ association management company Associa. Pando will be a preferred EV charging vendor for Associa’s managed communities, which serve over 7.5 million homeowners in the US.

The first project for the new partners: Pando Electric will install 48 new EV charging outlets at 1700 De Anza in Northern California. Work at the property is already underway, and five additional properties are in the pipeline.

Pando founder and CEO Aaron Li recently explained to Charged why he thinks his company’s solution is the best one to address today’s biggest impediment to EV adoption.

The company takes a novel approach to deploying multiunit charging—instead of dedicated charging stations, it installs high-power smart outlets. The company says this can vastly reduce charging infrastructure costs and eliminate ongoing maintenance expenses, while still allowing for such features as automated metering, access control and energy management.

“Transitioning to electric vehicles should be simple and affordable for everyone,” said Aaron Li, CEO of Pando Electric. “Our partnership with Associa gives homeowners and HOAs the confidence to invest in reliable EV charging solutions. This initiative reflects our mission to accelerate multifamily EV adoption while offering cost-effective, high-performance EV charging infrastructure.”

“We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for the communities we serve,” said Ronald Duprey, Senior Vice President at Associa. “Our collaboration with Pando Electric ensures that our residents have access to convenient, future-proof EV charging for their deeded or assigned parking.”
