German utility E.ON to offer home chargers from Turkish manufacturer Vestel

German electric and natural gas utility E.ON plans to add chargers from Turkey-based manufacturer Vestel to its portfolio of EV chargers. The Vestel home chargers will initially be offered exclusively to members of ADAC, Germany’s largest automobile club.

Vestel’s range of smart, networked chargers includes entry-level designs as well as more powerful advanced models. All are compatible with the E.ON Drive App, which allows E.ON customers to use over 30,000 charging points throughout Germany, and to control their E.ON home chargers.

“Vestel supports us in fulfilling the high customer demand for e-mobility solutions with well-engineered and attractively designed hardware,” says Mathias Wiecher, Vice President of E-Mobility at E.ON. “We were particularly impressed by the many years of expertise that Vestel has and by its comprehensive EV charger portfolio.”

“Our vast manufacturing scale and R&D expertise enable us to deliver exceptional-value, high-performance products,” said Vestel CEO Turan Erdoğan. “With our world-class manufacturing complex so close to Europe, we can also ensure greater speed-to-market, providing the fast product turnaround times required to stay ahead of the latest EV charger trends.”
