Eviny, a Norwegian provider of charging and other e-mobility services, has deployed ABB’s new Terra 360 charging station at the Oasen Shopping Center in Bergen and in the ski resort of Geilo.
The pilot installations, which will be followed by a more widespread rollout across Norway and Sweden, are meant to demonstrate the performance of ABB charging technology in extreme weather conditions.
The Terra 360 delivers maximum output of 360 kW (believed to be the current world record for a publicly available passenger car charger), and can simultaneously charge up to two vehicles, using dynamic power distribution.
The Terra 360 is designed to be quick and easy to deploy, and has a small footprint. It offers a novel lighting system to guide the user through the charging process, a simple State of Charge display, flexible 5-meter charging cables, and wheelchair accessibility.
“Having recently unveiled the Terra 360 to the world, these are truly landmark launches,” said Frank Muehlon, CEO of ABB E-Mobility. “Norway is setting the global standard when it comes to the e-mobility transition and we are excited to hear the reaction of EV drivers in one of the most advanced nations for EV adoption.”
“The e-mobility transition is happening lightning-fast here in Norway, and to continue to lead the change, we need the fastest chargers,” said Eviny CEO Jannicke Hilland. “We are proud to be the first in the world to [place the ABB Terra 360 in service].”
