DC fast charging comes to Lebanon

French power solution provider DBT has installed what it says are the first DC chargers in Lebanon, in partnership with local petroleum group MEDCO.

DBT has opened two 50 kW tri-standard chargers in Beirut, and will soon install two more. The new fast chargers are compatible with all EV models available in Lebanon, and can deliver a charge within 20 minutes.

DBT has also supplied charging equipment to major oil companies including Avia, BP and Total.

“The transition to e-mobility cannot be done without the multiplication of charging stations [in the] field, to ensure that e-drivers can drive as much as they do with their internal combustion engines,” said DBT CEO Hervé Borgoltz. “The major oil companies are now moving towards e-mobility, offering EV chargers in their gas stations. DBT’s expertise is instrumental in supporting…dedicated technical solutions for each type of location.”
