AMPECO secures $13 million to expand its EV charge management platform

Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm BMW i Ventures has led a $13-million Series A round of investment in AMPECO, an EV charging management platform that’s designed to enable large-scale public, business, fleet and residential charging providers to manage EV chargers at scale. The total raised after the Series A investment round now amounts to $16 million, thanks to $3 million raised by Launchub and Cavalry beforehand.

The funding will be used to drive further expansion into North America and Europe, while also growing AMPECO’s engineering and product innovation teams.

AMPECO’s solution for customized charging systems gives charging network operators full ownership over all aspects of their business, enabling them to select their preferred hardware partners and manage branding, customer relations, partnerships and payment flows.

Over the past four years, AMPECO has established a significant global presence, representing 62,000 charging points in more than 45 markets with a focus on Europe and North America.
