VOLTARI unveils Patrol 26 Rib electric patrol boat series

Florida-headquartered electric boat manufacturer VOLTARI has started production of its Patrol 26 RIB electric patrol boat designed for government, military and security applications.

The boat has a carbon fiber hull and a 24-degree deadrise deep-V oceangoing design. It features 740 hp of power, 1,007 lb⋅ft of torque, a dual-prop drive, contra-rotating propellers and trimmable outdrive.

Performance specs include a top speed of 55+ mph, a cruise speed of 20 to 30 mph, a range of up to 100 miles at idle or 30 miles at 25 mph cruise speed, peak power of 550 kW, and continuous power of 425 kW.

Additional features include shock suspension seating, a FLIR thermal night vision camera and climate control on the Patrol 26 Pilot model.

The J1772/CCS1 charging interface supports Level 2 and DC fast charging and is compatible with marine charging on 50 or 100 A standard marine pedestals, enabling a complete overnight charge using dockside power supply. The connector also allows on-trailer charging, using most automotive charging stations.

ISED Canada has acquired a Patrol 26 CC for testing by the Canadian Coast Guard off British Columbia, and a military contractor that is demoing the Patrol 26 Pilot has ordered two units to fulfill a US Navy contract in San Diego.

“We’ve received significant interest from institutional and government fleet buyers based on our ability to provide operational, fuel and general maintenance cost savings of around $1 million per vessel over 10 years,” said VOLTARI President Tim Markou.
