Mullen Technologies’ Qiantu K50 EV to be built in Spokane facility

EV manufacturer Mullen Technologies has signed a Letter of Intent with the West Plains Airport Area Public Development Authority (PDA) to build a new manufacturing facility in Spokane County, Washington. The 1.3 million square foot facility will produce Mullen’s Qiantu K50 sports coupe EV.

The facility will be built by the PDA and leased to Mullen. An interim facility of 100,00 square feet will be built for research and development and initial assembly of the Qiantu K50.

The Qiantu K50 will be available in North America in the second half of 2020, according to Mullen. The sports EV can go from 0 to 60mph in 4.2 seconds, hit a maximum speed of 125 mph, and achieve a range of approximately 200 miles. The EV is powered by two motors with a combined 430 horsepower.

“The response to the [Qiantu K50] at the New York Auto Show was incredible and we can’t wait to get positive feedback once people actually drive this beautiful EV,” said Mullen CEO David Michery.
