Multinational location data and technology platform HERE Technologies, headquartered in Amsterdam, has partnered with Dutch charging station data provider Eco-Movement to offer EV drivers access to more accurate real-time information on charge point specifications and availability.
The companies say that the collaboration will create a data repository encompassing over a million single charge points monitored across more than 100 countries. It will integrate real-world testing, vehicle sensor data and charging station user feedback through its suite of products.
To aid EV drivers in finding compatible vehicle charge points, the companies have incorporated e-mobility service provider (eMSP) support. HERE also offers EV OEMs a bring-your-own-data option to support custom eMSP listings in their branded navigation solutions.
“Together, we’re advancing charge point management and reducing the ambiguity that EV drivers face, such as lack of up-to-date information on availability, reliability and compatibility,” said Chris Handley, VP of Product Management at HERE Technologies.
