FedEx to install 42 DC charging stations for Chanje electric vans

FedEx will partner with Chanje Energy to electrify 42 FedEx locations in California. The DC charging stations are intended to support daily charging of 1,000 Chanje V8100 electric delivery vehicles, which the courier announced it would add to its fleet last November. FedEx will purchase 100 of the vehicles from Chanje and lease 900 from Ryder System.

Mitch Jackson, Chief Sustainability Officer at FedEx, said, “The vehicles and DC charging infrastructure will not only help FedEx meet our operational efficiency and sustainability goals, but provide learning, scaling, and experience to others in the vehicle electrification journey.”
