ChargerHelp! raises $17.5 million in Series A financing for its EV charging reliability platform

ChargerHelp! provides an app-based dispatch and deployment system designed to address the industry-wide scandal of EV charging station unreliability by providing on-demand repairs and maintenance from trained local workforces.

ChargerHelp! describes its offering as “a labor subscription service that provides peace of mind to charging station owners and operators, who require fast and reliable operations and maintenance services.”

The company claims that it can help its customers deliver the 97% uptime required by the new NEVI regulations for federally-funded public chargers.

Now the company has raised $17.5 million in a Series A financing round led by Blue Bear Capital. ChargerHelp! will use the new funding to continue to build out its EMPWR reliability software platform, expand its Reliability as a Service (RaaS) offering, and grow its workforce development program.

“We are usually expecting an availability of industrial equipment in the high 90% range. With EV chargers today, it’s 60% or sometimes less, an unacceptable situation for equipment that is often publicly subsidized,” said Blue Bear Capital Partner Carolin Funk. “ChargerHelp! is the only company today that is using data and software to help with this programmatically.”
