bp pulse opens new EV fast charging hub with 40 stalls near Houston’s Hobby Airport

bp pulse, the EV charging arm of global oil giant bp, has opened a new EV charging hub near Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport.

Featuring 40 EV charging bays equipped with 150 kW DC fast chargers, the new hub is designed to meet the needs of ride-hail drivers, airport rental car customers and local EV drivers. The site offers a covered canopy and free WiFi.

“This is another example of how we’re meeting EV drivers and ride-hailing fleets where they are, across metro and airport locations like this one,” said Sujay Sharma, CEO of bp pulse Americas.

bp pulse plans to install EV charging hubs at airport locations across the country, in collaboration with Hertz. The company has recently opened charging hubs at LAX, SFO and BOS.

“As our rideshare drivers often turn to EVs, having fast, reliable charging near key locations like Hobby Airport makes a real difference,” said Doria Holbrook, EVP Mobility at Hertz. “This new bp pulse hub offers the convenient access and ultrafast charging our drivers need to stay powered and productive.”
