Setting up your EV battery test lab for success

For electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, suppliers and test facilities, intensive testing of EV batteries is crucial to secure an advantage over the competition. Efficient and reliable testing is essential for faster developments and shorter time-to-market. However, before testing can begin, thorough test lab planning is required. There are various approaches to planning and setting up a new battery test lab – whether it’s integrated into an existing building, or set up as standardized, location-independent test units, which could offer faster product realization with lower investment.

Join this session at our Spring Virtual Conference on EV Engineering, presented by Keysight Technologies, where we will provide some ideas of how to build and equip your battery test lab, and illustrate how a well-thought-through design-for-test strategy lay the foundation for its future performance right at the planning phase.

How To Increase Production Speed And Quality With Lithium-Ion Battery Leak Testing

Lithium-ion batteries are used in modern electric or fuel cell driven vehicles. Battery manufacturing is currently in transition from small scale, pilot line production to larger scale production. Production of high quality battery cells is mandatory to avoid large recalls but also to keep the production cost under control.

In this session, presented by Inficon, we will explore how lithium-ion battery cell can be tested for leaks, what standard operating procedures have been established. how these can be implemented in automated production lines and how proper leak testing can contribute to adequate cost of manufacturing.
