You want one of Zodiac’s iconic rigid inflatable boats as a dinghy for your yacht—or maybe just for a ride to the reef to snorkel in style—but you hate to burn fossil fuel. Well, now you’re in luck. Zodiac Nautic has partnered with Flux Marine, a developer of electric outboard motors and marine battery systems, to electrify the storied RIB manufacturer’s vessels.
Zodiac Nautic’s first electric model, the Medline 6.8, is powered by a Flux Marine FM115 electric outboard. “The efficient hull design seamlessly blends cutting-edge performance with a fun-chasing deck layout,” says Zodiac. The companies displayed their first collaborative vessel at the recent 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
“With more than a century of innovation behind us, we lead the way into the electrified future of marine propulsion,” said Tim March II, Chief Operations Officer of Zodiac Nautic. “Our vessels have pioneered new ways to explore and enjoy the oceans, and this collaboration continues that legacy with sustainable, quiet power for the next generation of boating.”

Flux Marine systems have been designed from the ground up to improve the boating experience. “Powered by the company’s proprietary modular battery systems, the FM115 all-electric outboard yields instant torque for quick acceleration and sustained high-speed cruising, all while minimizing maintenance and delivering a quiet ride.”
The Zodiac Medline 6.8 is just over 22 feet long. It offers 115 hp (86 kW) of continuous power, or 175 hp (130 kW) of acceleration power. It boasts an estimated cruising range of 25-30 miles, or a low-speed range of 80+ miles. Cruising speed is 20 mph, and top speed is 34 mph.
The battery pack has a capacity of 84 kWh. It supports Level 1 or Level 2 charging at 30 amps, as well as CCS DC fast charging.
“Zodiac has always been a symbol of adventure, innovation and performance on the water, and this collaboration allows us to demonstrate how high-powered electric marine propulsion can elevate our customers’ boating experience,” said Ben Sorkin, CEO of Flux Marine. “Our goal has always been to deliver electric propulsion systems that exceed the expectations of everyday boating applications. Our partnership with Zodiac reinforces our mission to bring electric boating to the masses through leading OEM boat builders.”
Starting price is $116,069. The company is accepting pre-orders for 2026 delivery.
