Edge Energy and Lincoln Electric launch 100 kW single-phase EV charging platform to reduce instal time and costs

Edge Energy has announced a collaboration with Lincoln Electric to deliver a 100 kW single-phase EV charging solution designed for locations that lack access to three-phase power. The companies say the compact, modular platform integrates Edge Energy’s solid-state digital phase conversion technology with Lincoln Electric’s Velion 50 kW DC fast chargers and DC America’s EV charging platform.

According to Edge Energy, the collaborative system enables high-performance fast charging through a standard single-phase connection. The modular design supports up to 100 kW of output, allowing scalability for businesses, municipalities, and fleet operators as EV demand increases. The solution is aimed at reducing installation complexity and infrastructure costs, and is targeted at commercial, industrial, and public EV charging applications.

The companies report that the platform supports fast and straightforward installation, with the goal of improving return on investment for site operators while expanding the reach of DC fast charging to areas previously constrained by limited grid infrastructure.

Edge Energy says that deployments of the charging skid are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with units now available for order.
