Cruise terminal complex at Port of Miami to add 50 EV charging stations

Fisk Electric, a subsidiary of civil, building and specialty construction company Tutor Perini, has been awarded an electrical services contract for the Cruise Terminal G Complex at the Port of Miami. The contract value is approximately $43.4 million.

The scope of work includes a new electrical vault to support electrical distribution switchboards for Terminal G, installation of new conduits to ensure primary and emergency power supply, as well as new main switchgear, automatic transfer switches, switchboards and panelboards.

The Terminal G parking garage will incorporate 50 EV charging stations, and the new infrastructure will be capable of accommodating up to 430 more chargers in the future.

The project also includes supplying power to the existing chillers and fire pump at Terminal F, the replacement of the current 2,000 KW generator in the Central Utility Plant, and procurement and installation of three additional generators with emergency paralleling switchgear to provide a reliable backup power source.

Work has begun, and “substantial completion” is anticipated in November 2027.
