Bellevue Towers, a residential condominium community in Bellevue, Washington, has completed the infrastructure to enable the installation of 312 additional EV chargers, addressing a significant demand from its residents.
The property has a significant waitlist of residents who wish to install individual chargers.
“EV [charging] is quickly becoming a high-demand amenity,” says Ed Anderson, President of the Board at Bellevue Towers. “Three years ago, we proactively started embarking upon this project to make sure Bellevue Towers would be ready to provide individual EV charging stations for all of our residents who desired it.”
The project’s core infrastructure, which was completed in August 2024, pulls 800 amps of power through seven different garage levels. The design allows for a fixed installation fee for all residents, regardless of their stall locations.
The introduction of over 300 individually owned EV charging stations, half of which can service two parking stalls, is expected not only to benefit current residents but also to enhance the community’s appeal to future buyers.
“So many brand-new communities in the area have only a very limited number of EV stalls available for their residents. The Board of Directors at Bellevue Towers had the foresight and took the initiative years ago to embark upon this massive project,” said David Sullivan, General Manager at Bellevue Towers. “Here we are now, a 16-year-old property, setting the standard for others to follow.”
