Wallbox launches Supernova PowerRing EV fast charging platform delivering up to 400 kW per outlet

Wallbox has launched Supernova PowerRing, a modular direct current fast-charging system for EV, with rollout scheduled to begin in early 2026. The system delivers up to 400 kW to a single vehicle and supports a total site capacity of up to 720 kW, enabling high-power charging at semi-public and destination sites such as urban retail centers, commercial parking and convenience stores.

The Supernova PowerRing platform interconnects up to three Supernova chargers at a single site, providing six charging outlets and scalable configurations of 240, 480, or 720 kW per site. The PowerRing dynamically shares power between chargers based on real-time demand, pooling unused energy and distributing it to ensure optimal performance per charging outlet. The architecture is designed to reduce idle energy and infrastructure costs, optimize uptime and maximize driver throughput on constrained site footprints.

The system’s phased rollout will begin with the first version, which offers power sharing across units, allowing operators to allocate available capacity as needed during peak loads. Wallbox says that later phases will add advanced features, such as power sharing between connectors even when one is in use, and eventually, intelligent algorithms to balance energy distribution across sites.

The release is initially planned for Southern Europe, the Benelux region, and the UK and Ireland in the first quarter of 2026, with expansion to additional markets, including the United States, in subsequent phases.

“Operators need charging systems that make economic sense today while being ready for the future,” said Eduard Castañeda, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Wallbox. “Supernova PowerRing was designed to do exactly that, delivering flexibility, performance, and reliability, all within a remarkably compact footprint.
