Hang Lung Properties, a major Hong Kong real estate developer, has announced a collaboration with Tesla to install destination chargers at six shopping malls in mainland China.
In the first stage of the project, 19 chargers will be installed at Hang Lung-owned malls in Tianjin, Wuxi, Shanghai, Shenyang, Jinan and Dalian. Hang Lung and Tesla will launch the new facilities with ceremonies featuring exhibitions of Tesla’s latest technology, and test drives.
“The electric vehicle is the future trend of a sustainable transportation sector,” said Norman Chan, Director (Leasing & Sales) of Hang Lung Properties. “The fact that the Tesla has zero emissions means that it can significantly reduce roadside pollution and thus improve overall air quality. This is important to Hang Lung Properties, which has always recognized the importance of corporate social responsibility.”
