Plugless chargers pass a milestone: one million hours of charging

Evatran Plugless power

Evatran Group has announced that its installed base of Plugless wireless chargers has logged one million hours of charging time.

Evatran field-tested its Plugless inductive charging systems from 2012 to 2014 with partners including Google, Duke Energy, and Hertz. In 2014 it began selling 3.3 kW wireless chargers for the Volt and the LEAF.

Since then, it has introduced its second-generation 7.2 kW wireless system, and added the Tesla Model S to the list of compatible vehicles. The company has also tested its system with a Chinese production EV, the JAC iEV6S SUV.

License-free 3.6 kW and 7.2 kW demonstration systems are now available to electrified transportation companies and research groups.
