Charging network operator EVgo has opened its 1,000th DC fast charging station in the US, in partnership with Nissan. The milestone station is located in a new apartment complex in Falls Church, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. It includes two DC fast chargers, each capable of delivering up to 50 kW of power.
The Loren apartment complex is located along Arlington Boulevard, a convenient location for commuters on their way to and from the nation’s capital. The new charging station will also be a valuable amenity for EV owners who live in the apartment complex.
“Bozzuto is keenly aware of the explosive growth of EV charging not only across the country, but amongst our residents and prospects,” said Peter Zadoretzky, Director of Sustainability at Bozzuto Management Company, which manages the apartment complex. “Our ability to offer on-site, rapid charging is a tremendous amenity and is in line with our commitment to offering extraordinary experiences of home and community through outstanding service and the latest technology.”
