Electrify America opens California’s first 350 kW charging station

Electrify America is building a nationwide fast charging network that will be ready for the next generation of EVs, supporting charging speeds of up to 350 kW. So far, only the upcoming Audi e-tron can take advantage of this level of power, but EA isn’t waiting around – it has opened a charging station at San Francisco Premium Outlets, a mall operated by commercial property giant Simon, that features eight 150 kW chargers and two 350 kW chargers.

Adjacent to the Electrify America chargers is a Tesla Supercharger location with 20 chargers.

Electrify America will be installing charging facilities at many more Simon locations around the country, including 17 centers with 95 chargers in California.

“We are delighted to be the first location in California to offer EV owners the fastest charging option available in the US,” said Premium Outlets VP Jamal Porter. “Our customers expect a premium experience, and these fast chargers offer the latest technology to provide a convenient, reliable and quick recharging experience.”
