Collaboratev’s mission is to allow members of any charging network access to stations operated by other networks – roaming for EVs, as many have called it.
Collaboratev LLC announced that it has appointed Collaboratev co-founder and EV industry veteran Jason Wolf as its first CEO. Wolf has been in the EV industry for five years, most recently as Vice President of North America for Better Place.
“Collaboratev is the next step in the maturation of the EV industry,” said Wolf. “I am excited to guide its path to success and build an industry-wide solution for charging network interoperability. This open, standards-based solution gives charging operators a platform to provide an enhanced and simplified experience for EV drivers, helping grow the industry overall.”
Collaboratev’s mission is to allow members of any charging network access to stations operated by other networks – roaming for EVs, as many have called it. The nation’s two largest EVSE providers, ECOtality (Nasdaq: ECTY) and ChargePoint, have signed on as the first Collaboratev affiliates.
“With in-depth knowledge of the EV industry and acute business acumen, Jason is a natural fit to lead Collaboratev,” said ChargePoint CEO Pat Romano. “The potential for Collaboratev is enormous, as EV drivers want seamless interoperability across multiple networks.”
“We are seeing tremendous year over year growth in EV sales and significant network expansion by many service providers.” said Ravi Brar, CEO of ECOtality. “We are confident that Collaboratev will provide a significant boost to adoption of the rapidly growing commercial charging infrastructure nationwide.”
