ChargePoint offers trade-in credit on dual port-charging station

ChargePoint is offering a trade-in credit of up to $1,250 to customers who upgrade to the company’s new dual-port CT4000 charging station. Designed to address both the cost of installation and the growing demand for charging spots, the CT4000 series includes a power sharing feature, which allows a single circuit to power a dual-port charging station.

“The CT4000 doubles the number of charging stations while dramatically cutting installation costs, which allows charging infrastructure to pace the accelerating electric vehicle industry,” said Pat Romano, President and CEO of ChargePoint. “This offer is especially beneficial for early adopters who want to upgrade to our newest technology. We designed the CT4000 so that it can easily be installed at an existing charging location to minimize installation costs.”

The CT4000 series offers a customizable video feature, allowing station owners to run video content of their choice on a color LCD screen, using ChargePoint’s cloud service. According to ChargePoint, the company currently has over 14,000 charging locations and an over-65% market share of networked public charging stations, operating on its cloud service, which also supports hardware from other manufacturers.
